Offering authentic, aromatic coffee from Ethiopia
A beautiful life is found in the simplest luxuries. We start with the coffee bean. We choose the finest varietals from Ethiopia, organic certified and Fair Trade. Sometimes we leave the coffee purely single-varietal. Other times we carefully blend our beans. But what makes our coffees sing is our roaster, which we use to hand-roast our coffees in small batches right before shipping to you. And, our beans are selected and tasted by a circle of seasoned coffee experts, who consider taste, color, nuance, aroma and even how the coffee pours into the cup.
High on the mountainsides and deep in the misty forests of Ethiopia, wild coffee grows in great abundance. Whether in natural environs or those that are carefully cultivated, Ethiopian coffee thrives in ideal weather conditions, allowing for a diverse variety of coffee beans. Ethiopia is the birthplace to coffee where coffee beans were first discovered by a wandering sheep herder over a thousand years ago. In fact, the word 'coffee' is thought to be derived from the region Kaffa in southwestern Ethiopia.
We offer different varieties of coffee, all unique to Ethiopia. These authentic Ethiopian coffees are listed from brightest to deepest, richest flavor. These variations are offered in naturally sun-dried or wet-processed.

Ethiopia is the fifth top producer of green coffee and one of the oldest coffee exporters in the world. Ethiopia is where coffee arabica originated, which leads to the best inherent quality for cultivation.
"Fair Trade supports some of the most bio-diverse farming systems in the world. When you visit a Fair Trade coffee grower's fields, with the forest canopy overhead and the sound of migratory songbirds in the air, it feels like you're standing in the rainforest."
